Help Bring the Magic of New Year to More Children

OpenJoy Foundation is preparing a special two-day interactive New Year celebration for children ages 3–10, designed especially for Russian-speaking and immigrant families in the Greater Philadelphia area.

A celebration worth sharing.

Our goal is to reach approximately 150 children through an unforgettable holiday experience filled with storytelling, music, cultural traditions, interactive games, and gifts.

We are currently inviting local businesses, organizations, and community members to help make this celebration possible.

Sponsor and in-kind donation opportunities are now open. Public ticket sales and the complete show schedule will be announced separately.

About the Celebration

Children will join Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, and Baba Yaga on an interactive New Year journey around the world, exploring how different cultures celebrate the holiday.

The experience will include:

An interactive, age-appropriate theatrical adventure
Holiday music, movement, and group activities
Cultural traditions from around the world
A special holiday gift for every participating child
Photos with the holiday characters

The event is designed to bring children together through culture, imagination, shared experiences, and joy.

Programming will be adapted for different age groups.

Final session times, ticket information, and venue details will be announced separately.

Culture. Imagination. Access.

Help Make the Celebration Accessible

For some families, the cost of holiday activities can make participation difficult.

Through our Holiday Sponsorship Program, we hope to provide complimentary admission to children from families facing financial barriers, while offering the same celebration and gifts enjoyed by every participant.

Our previous New Year performances welcomed more than 150 children. With the support of local businesses and community partners, 30 children received complimentary tickets.

This year, we hope to expand that impact.

Give joy. Open doors.

Three Ways to Support the Event

01

Sponsor a Child — $55

Help provide a complete holiday experience for a child whose family may otherwise be unable to afford participation.

A sponsored experience includes admission to the interactive performance and a special holiday gift.

Become an In-Kind Gift Partner

We are seeking donations of new, unused, age-appropriate gifts for children ages 3–10.

Examples of helpful donations include:

Children’s books
Creative art and craft kits
Educational games
STEM activity kits
Small toys and age-appropriate gift sets

Businesses may contribute individual items, gift bundles, or larger quantities.

All proposed donations should be coordinated with OpenJoy Foundation in advance so we can confirm age suitability, quantities, and delivery arrangements.

03

Support Event Production

Local businesses and community partners can also help cover the costs of creating and delivering the event.

Support may contribute to:

Professional performers and program staff
Interactive activities and materials
Event decorations and production supplies
The overall cost of making the event accessible to more children

We welcome conversations about financial sponsorship and event-specific partnerships.
